Presets AF AP Viewer

What this app is for

Presets AF AP Viewer is a visual catalog for creative files.

It helps you keep your Adobe After Effects and Adobe Premiere Pro assets in one place so they are easier to browse, preview, sort, and organize.

You can use it for

  • MOGRT files
  • Premiere Pro presets
  • After Effects presets
  • project folders
  • preview videos
  • images
  • audio files
  • documents
  • utility files that come with template packs

This app is made for users who have many downloaded packs and want to quickly understand what each file is without opening every folder by hand.

What the app does

The app scans folders that you choose and builds a clean library from them.

It can

  • show your files in a visual catalog
  • group files by source and category
  • show previews for supported media
  • help you find duplicates
  • let you rename files
  • help you organize packs and assets
  • link preview videos to presets when possible
  • keep source libraries separate so your collections do not get mixed together

Main idea

Instead of searching through many folders in Finder, you open the app, choose a source, and browse everything in one place.

That makes it easier to answer simple questions like

  • What does this MOGRT look like
  • Which pack contains this title
  • Which source has these audio files
  • Is this file duplicated somewhere else
  • Which preview belongs to this preset

Typical workflow

Add a source folder

A source is a folder that you want the app to index.

For example, one source can be a Premiere templates collection and another source can be an audio pack collection.

After you add a source, the app scans it and creates a source based library for that folder.

Browse by source

Each source has its own tree and its own categories.

When you click a source, you only see the files that belong to that source.

This keeps different libraries separate and easier to manage.

Open categories

Inside a source, the app shows categories such as

  • Editing
  • Images
  • Videos
  • Documents
  • Other

Open a category to see the files that belong to that part of the library.

Select an item

When you click an item in the middle panel, the right panel shows details.

This can include

  • file name
  • path
  • type
  • size
  • preview
  • related actions like open, reveal, rename, or choose preview

Preview media

If the selected item has a preview, the app will try to show it in the right panel.

This can include

  • video preview
  • image preview
  • audio preview

If a preset pack includes related preview videos, the app will try to match the correct preview to the selected preset.

Main sections

Sources

Sources are the heart of the app.

Each source is scanned separately and gets its own library view.

Use sources when you want to keep collections separate.

Examples

  • one source for MOGRT packs
  • one source for After Effects projects
  • one source for sound effects
  • one source for image packs

Global sections

The app also has global sections that are not tied to only one source.

These can include

  • Favorites
  • Duplicates
  • Tools
  • Settings
  • Custom Catalogs
  • Saved Searches

These sections help you work across your library in a more flexible way.

What the three columns do

Left panel

The left side is for navigation.

Here you can

  • add source folders
  • choose a source
  • open source categories
  • open global sections
  • run quick actions

Middle panel

The middle area shows the files and items from the selected source or category.

This is where you browse your catalog.

Right panel

The right side shows details for the selected item.

This is where you usually preview the file and use actions such as

  • Open
  • Open With
  • Reveal
  • Open Folder
  • Copy Path
  • Rename

Preview behavior

Video preview

If the selected item has a supported video preview, the app tries to show a video player in the right panel.

If the video format does not play inside the app, you can use Open With and choose another player.

Audio preview

If the selected item is an audio file or has an audio preview, the app tries to show an audio player in the right panel.

This helps you quickly check sound effects, music, or audio packs.

Image preview

Images can be shown in the right panel and can also be opened larger when needed.

This is one of the most useful features.

Sometimes one folder contains several presets and several preview videos.

The app tries to connect the most relevant preview to each preset so that when you click a specific preset, you see the preview that best matches that exact item.

If the app does not find the correct preview automatically, you can choose it manually.

Duplicates

The duplicate section helps you review files that look the same or are likely repeated.

You can compare items and decide what to keep.

Depending on the file type, you may be able to

  • preview duplicates
  • rename one of them
  • move one to Trash
  • keep the better version
  • compare paths and sizes

Custom Catalogs

Custom Catalogs let you build your own groups.

You can create personal collections such as

  • Best Titles
  • Favorite Sound Effects
  • Client Assets
  • My Daily Use Presets

This helps you build your own structure on top of the source libraries.

Search helps you quickly narrow the view.

For example, you can search for

  • MOGRT
  • mp3
  • title
  • transition
  • audio
  • lower third

The app can then show matching items in the current scope.

Organizing files

The app is also designed to help with file organization.

Depending on the enabled tools, you may be able to

  • rename files
  • move files
  • rescan a source
  • cancel a scan
  • organize files into cleaner structures
  • work with image conversion tools
  • review duplicate items before cleanup

Renaming

You can rename files from the app.

When you rename a file, the goal is to rename the real file and keep the catalog updated.

This is useful when your packs have messy names and you want cleaner titles in your library.

Source actions

For each source, you may see actions such as

  • Scan
  • Cancel
  • Rescan
  • Reveal Source
  • Edit Source

These help you refresh or manage one selected source without affecting the others.

Favorites

Favorites are for items you want fast access to later.

This is useful when you have a very large library and want a quick shortlist of your best assets.

Settings

Settings are where you control general app behavior.

Depending on the build, this can include

  • backup location
  • output folders
  • preview behavior
  • language options
  • external app choices for files that open outside the app

Tips for easier use

  • Keep different asset types in separate source folders when possible
  • Use clear source names
  • Use Custom Catalogs for your best files
  • Review duplicates before deleting anything
  • Choose the correct preview manually if a preset preview is matched incorrectly
  • Rescan a source after adding or moving many files

Simple example

A simple way to use the app is this

  • Add your main Premiere templates folder as a source
  • Add your After Effects templates folder as another source
  • Add your audio collection as a separate source
  • Browse each source from the left panel
  • Click files in the middle panel
  • Preview them in the right panel
  • Save the best ones to Favorites or Custom Catalogs

In short

Presets AF AP Viewer is a browsing and organization tool for creative libraries.

It helps you see what your files are, preview them faster, keep sources separate, and manage large collections in a cleaner way.

Nothing found for your search.
